We Were is an abstract representation of the life cycle of a friendship, centered around synchronicity. To some extent, synchronicity is present in all human relationships; strangers in board rooms breathe simultaneously during meetings, and people in elevators blindly mimic each other's movements. Past that, people use the phrases "in sync" and "out of sync" to describe their connections with people. The video features two young women who gradually fall in and out of sync in a very literal way, and highlights their voices, facial expressions, and body language.
